Kita Alexander releases new single 'The Good House' from upcoming second album 'RAGE'

Multiple ARIA Award-nominee Australian singer-songwriter Kita Alexander today releases her new single ‘The Good House’, the next taste of her second studio album RAGE, out 26 June.
Written by Alexander with PJ Harding and Shungudzo Kuyimba and produced by Chris Collins, ‘The Good House’ is a gorgeous, gentle country-tinged ballad with a darker message of how looks can be deceiving - Alexander lives in the best house on a ‘shitty street’ but inside that house she is slowly falling apart. ‘If I move on I’ll mess it up / I know I look fine but I’m not / Because I’m still trying to wash you off.’
“No one ever knows what’s going inside someone’s body, someone’s house,” Alexander says. “‘The Good House’ is about our perceptions of each other and how the majority of time, everyone is putting up this front of being put together and having their lives sorted. At the end of the day it’s understanding that not everything’s as it appears.”
‘The Good House’ follows the February single ‘Rage’, with both songs featuring on Alexander’s second studio album RAGE, which will be released on 26 June. The album is a reflection of her own personal journey with rage, an emotion regularly hidden and deemed socially unacceptable.
“Rage has been the catalyst of positive change in my life over the last couple of years. The album is about an emotion I’ve always had but never understood. It’s me looking at it and embracing it as a new friend and realising that I don’t have to shut it down or avoid looking at it,” Alexander says. “An emotion that is usually seen as ugly or wrong has helped me have the confidence to create necessary change in my life that I was otherwise scared of doing. Rage has helped me find what truly matters to me and to change my life in ways that work for me.”
RAGE comes off the back of Alexander’s 2024 debut album Young In Love which peaked at number 3 on the Australian albums chart. The same year she was nominated for four ARIA Awards, the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Award and Song of the Year, Best Dance / Electronic Release and Best Produced Release for her co-write with Fisher, ‘Atmosphere’.
In a career that has seen her support artists including Dua Lipa and Madison Beer, earn six ARIA Award nominations and achieve over 500 million global streams, Alexander is steadily becoming one of Australia’s greatest artists. RAGE is the next chapter in her remarkable journey.
