Jessie Ware is back with new single 'Free Yourself'

The UK’s Jessie Ware today launches the next chapter in her musical journey with the release of the song ‘Free Yourself’, the first track from her upcoming fifth studio album.

Co-written by Ware with Coffee Clarence Jr (Lizzo, Bebe Rexha) and produced by Stuart Price (Madonna, Kylie Minogue) ‘Free Yourself’ is an intoxicating blast of disco, house and synthpop that sweeps you away in a tidal wave of dancefloor bliss. A 1990s house style keyboard mixes with a thumping beat, disco chants and a outstanding vocal performance from Ware that moves from a sensual purr into a soaring, full-bodied delivery.

“‘Free Yourself’ is the beginning of a new era for me,” Ware says.. “I’m so excited for people to have this song to dance to, to feel no inhibitions and to feel joyful because that’s how I’ve been feeling recently being able to tour again and being able to sing again. Enjoy yourself, Free Yourself!”

The song is the first release of new music from Ware since the 2021 release of the Platinum Pleasure Edition of her 2020 album What’s Your Pleasure. The album, which with it’s joyous disco pop sound was one of the brightest lights in the dark days of the pandemic, has become her most successful album ever peaking at number 3 in the UK.

After completing her re-scheduled What’s Your Pleasure tour and recently performing a headline slot at Glastonbury’s Park stage and at Primavera Sound in South America, Ware is due to support Harry Styles for five shows in Chicago in October. In between the live shows she is finishing off her fifth studio album.

Since carving out a reputation for creating some of pop’s most joyous and feel good tracks over the last few years, Jessie Ware is an artist that is at her creative peak. Her upcoming new album is destined to be an absolute gem and one to watch out for, until its release lose yourself completely in the delights of ‘Free Yourself’.
