UK superstar Jamelia plus Rogue Traders join lineup for the first ever Sydney Mighty Hoopla festival

Published 27 January 2026

As the first ever Mighty Hoopla festival in Sydney approaches, two iconic acts have been added to the lineup.

British superstar Jamelia will be making an Australian exclusive appearance as part of Mighty Hoopla. Jamelia scored a massive global hit in 2003 with ‘Superstar’ which hit number one in Australia, earning platinum status in the process. She would achieve another four top 40 hits in Australia, including ‘See It In A Boy’s Eyes’ which she wrote with Chris Martin of Coldplay.

Also announced today as part of Mighty Hoopla is legendary Australian dance act Rogue Traders. Fronted by Natalie Bassingthwaighte, the band scored a string of top 10 hits between 2003 and 2008 including the iconic ‘Voodoo Child’ which also hit number 3 in the UK.

Jamelia and Rogue Traders will join a raft of iconic performers including Kesha, Delta Goodrem, Jessica Mauboy and Rose Gray. Held on 21 February at Bondi Beach, this is the first time the festival has been staged in Australia. Launched in the UK in 2016, Mighty Hoopla has grown into one of the UK’s biggest festivals and Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ music festival. The Sydney event promises to be a spectacle of pop, nostalgia, drag and queer celebration and is not to be missed.

Mighty Hoopla Australia will be held on 21 February at Bondi Beach. Tickets on sale now.
