Rising star IVANA releases new single 'Burning' and announces signing with German dance label

Published: 30 May 2025

Rising Australian superstar IVANA today announces she has signed with major German dance label Place Called Home, and also drops her first single with the label, the hypnotic ‘Burning’.

IVANA’s first new music of 2025, ‘Burning’ is a beat heavy dance track that combines pop sensibilities with a heady, 3am-on-the-dancefloor trance-techno soundscape. The deconstructed chorus is a highlight as IVANA’s repetition of “i’m burning” explodes into a glorious instrumental, beat heavy dance break.

The song represents the pleasure and pain of an obsessive love, with IVANA saying on social media “Wrote a song for the girlies that want someone so badly it literally frustrates them”.

After making the Final Top 5 on Australian Idol last year, IVANA has quickly become one of Australia’s most promising new artists. Her debut single ‘Ooh La La La’ picked up radio play across the country last year, and her November collaboration with FDVM and CARSTN ‘Liar Liar’ became her biggest hit to date, with over 1.5 million streams and counting.

With an absolutely killer voice that adds a gravity and power to her intricate, clubby pop soundscapes, IVANA is an artist that hits on so many different levels you will always find yourself coming back for more. With more music to come this year, her signing with Place Like Home is undoubtedly the next step on her journey to pop superstar - a role that fits IVANA like a glove.

To celebrate the release of ‘Burning’ IVANA will be playing two single launch shows:
27 June – Yah Yahs Fitzroy, Melbourne
29 June – Berefords Sundays, Sydney

‘Burning’ is out now via Place Called Home. You can download and stream here.
