Rising Australian artist Charlotte MacInnes has released her debut single ‘Struck’, a stirring song that marks the lifelong singer-songwriter stepping into a new artistic path.
Written with some of the biggest names in music production Ashnikko, Joe Janiak (Britney Spears, Noah Cyrus, Bebe Rexha) and Amanda Ghost (Beyoncé, FKA Twigs, Jorja Smith), ‘Struck’ is a powerful, inspiring battle cry that begins gentle and stripped back before a powerful beat kicks in and MacInnes voice soars. She sings of finding her power and confidence, declaring “I’ll never be afraid again.”
“‘Struck’ is a song about bravery and defiance, written from inside the storm, not after it. It’s a battle cry for anyone standing in the mouth of something irreversible,” MacInnes says.
Over the last few years, MacInnes has made an impression as an actor, starring in the Australian-British production North Shore and in Florence Welch’s musical theatre show Gatsby. The lifelong musician is now embracing a new chapter in her artistry and has signed with major label Atlantic Records. With more music coming soon, ‘Struck’ is all the proof you need MacInnes is a major star in the making and an artist to be on your playlist right now.
‘Struck’ is out now via Atlantic Records. You can download and stream here.
