Quinn Karter releases new single 'Living In A Dream'

Brisbane bred, now Sydney based producer Quinn Karter today releases her single single ‘Living In a Dream’. Featuring the vocals of Natalie Major, the track is a beautifully melancholic electro-synth pop track that builds from a mellow verse into a beat heavy chorus. With melodies that invoke a Scandipop vibe of wanting to dance while also feeling highly emotional it is a song that really clings to your soul.

“This song started during lockdown. I had gone back to Brisbane, to spend a few days at home… that turned into six weeks,” Karter explains. “I had so much free time, felt so inspired and started all these new ideas; including ‘Living In A Dream’. My manager sent me a guitar riff, something about this riff really caught my attention, it was simple yet effective. I had the instrumental down in a day, then knew finding the right vocalist would be paramount to the overall feel and drive of the song. I found Natalie Major, I knew I wanted to work with her, her voice was epic. Originally, the chorus was sent to me as a pre idea and the drop wasn’t going to have a lead vocal, but it just worked! I really wanted to create something that takes you on a journey, evolves and brings that 2021 energy to the table.”

After her 2020 debut for Central Station Records, the superb ‘Overdramatic’ featuring Bryar, ‘Living In A Dream’ is proof Karter is one of the most promising producers breaking through in Australia right now. An artist we really recommend you look into right now - tune in and bliss out.

‘Living In A Dream’ is out now via Central Station Records. You can buy and stream here.
