Peach PRC releases new single 'Perfect For You' and announces EP will be released April 28

Australian breakout star Peach PRC today releases her new single ‘Perfect For You’, just days after two of her songs landed in the 2022 Triple J Hottest 100, ‘God Is A Freak’ at 16 and ‘Forever Drunk’ at 65.

‘Perfect For You’ encapsulates the classic Peach PRC sound, a glorious mix of synthpop, electronica with hints of rock. Interpolating the 2006 Paris Hilton hit ‘Stars Are Blind’, after Peach shared a taste of the song on TikTok Hilton herself performed a duet and posted the video, which has subsequently racked up millions of views. Lyrically ‘Perfect For You’ tells a story of badly falling for another person while still entangled with another.

“I wrote this song in one night and thought nobody would ever hear it,” Peach says. “I was crushing so hard on this girl, and we hadn’t even kissed when I wrote the song, so the longing in those lyrics is straight up how I was feeling. There was a night we laid on the grass looking up at the sky and listened to ‘Stars Are Blind’ by Paris Hilton with one earphone each. I remember being excited and making Tik Tok videos to ‘Stars Are Blind’ because the song had always meant so much to me. It’s just an amazing full circle moment to have Paris Hilton’s blessing on the single.”

Peach today also announces her eagerly anticipated new EP Manic Dream Pixie will be released on April, and will be available in a limited edition pink heart shaped vinyl, pink cassette and CD.

Ever since her breakthrough in 2021, Peach PRC has become one of the greatest new talents on the Australian music scene, building a massive local and global fan base. This has also translated to critical success, with her first single ‘Josh’ was nominated last year in the Most Performed Pop Work at the APRA Awards and her singles regularly attract streams in the millions. ‘Perfect For You’ and the Manic Dream Pixie EP sees Peach enter her biggest, brightest and boldest era yet and it is going to be a joy to experience.
