British singer-songwriter-producer Nia Archives has released her new single ‘Danger’, a song Nia says is her most ‘X-rated tune’ to date.

The pulsing, genre destroying song blends jungle, garage, trip-hop and electronica with a beat that quickly runs away with you, teamed with some deliciously sweet melodies. The song is an open, no holds barred exploration of sexuality and entering womanhood, with the title of the song spelt out in a deceptively simplistic nursery rhyme: ‘D is for me / A to the Zay / N is for my number you can block it all day / G is the spot / E is what we drop / R is for I really really love you don’t stop.’ Despite the subject matter, the song retains a gentle, connective feel with Nia using softness to deliver a message which could have quite easily lost its power through an aggressive delivery.

“It’s definitely an X-rated tune, I really pushed that side – I’ve never even sworn in my music,” Nia says. “But it’s a part of love… or of lust… that people get a bit scared to talk about. Being in your mid-20s, you’re figuring out who you are, exploring your sexuality… I think people kind of get stuck in girlhood, but really and truly, I’m 26 and I feel like I’m entering womanhood.”

Raised in Leeds in a musical family - her grandmother introduced her to every type of music from jungle to R&B, and her stepfather was a rapper and producer - Nia released her debut single ‘Sober Feels’ in 2020. She quickly gained attention for her jungle music, winning the BBC Introducing Artist of the Year in 2022 and the following year she was nominated in the Rising Star category at the Brit Awards. In 2025, after the release of her debut album Silence Is Loud, she was again nominated at the Brits, for Artist of the Year and Best Dance Act, making history as the first jungle artist to receive three career Brit nominations.

Outside of her own music, Nia has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, opening for Beyoncé on her Renaissance World Tour and remixing tracks for Jorja Smith, Fred Again and Jamie XX.

‘Danger’ is the exciting first step in Nia Archives’ next musical project and showcases exactly why she is becoming one of the UK’s most acclaimed musical artists. Look out for more gems from her throughout 2026.
