Nectar Woode returns with new single 'Rivers End' from upcoming new mixtape 'Naturally'

Published: 15 May 2026

British/Ghanian artist Nectar Woode returns today with her new single ‘Rivers End’, which will feature on her new mixtape Naturally, released in June.

Written with Jamie Rendle, ‘Rivers End’ is a gorgeously lush soul-pop song with a driving beat and a beautiful vocal from Woode that glides over the soundscape, bringing warmth and texture to the song. Lyrically, Woode sings of a generation that has lost their way - ‘Isolation over validation / We let ourselves fall down…a lost generation’ - but ultimately finds her way using the life giving properties of water as a metaphor. ‘To the rivers end / I’m gonna be my best friend…drifting on I’ll find my way.’

“This song is about me going on a walk to the Rivers End, passing all my previous mistakes and fears,” Wonder says. “The Rivers End is where I accept myself for who I am, flaws, mistakes, uniqueness and all.”

‘Rivers End’ follows the singles ‘Stick Fight’ and ‘Lights Off’, which both blended disco into her signature neo-soul pop. All three songs will feature on Woode’s mixtape Naturally which is due for release on 26 June.

After collaborating with Mom Tudie and Eriksson Kaner on two singles in 2021 and 2022, Woode released her debut solo single ‘For The Best’ in late 2022. Critical acclaim and commercial success has steadily increased in the intervening four years, with a high profile fan in the form of Elton John, who played her music on his Apple Music show. She has performed at Glastonbury, and supported Olivia Dean at the BRITs War Child Show, and in 2024 her single ‘Good Vibrations’ created waves online with currently close to 30 million streams on Spotify alone.

Nectar Woode is one of those special artists that after just one listen to her music you feel like that niggling gap in your music collection has instantly been filled. She has a charisma, voice and presence - not to mention perfectly created melodies and songs - that mark her out as one of music’s greatest young artists. With the release of Naturally, expect her rise to continue in 2026.
