MIla Nile releases new single 'Don't Need Your Love'

Sydney based, Sweden born singer-songwriter Mila Nile has released her second single of 2021 ‘Don’t Need Your Love’.

Written by Nile and her partner Simon and produced by LA-based collaborator HVTCH, the track is an intoxicating electropop dance track with liberal doses of disco thrown in, and like many of Nile’s releases there are plenty of sonic twists and turns to keep you enthralled to the end.

“It’s about a toxic relationship, but not with a person, with a feeling - validation,” Nile says of the inspiration behind the song. “I wrote 'Don’t Need Your Love' as an anthem to remind myself that I’m good enough and that my worth isn’t based on others’ perceptions of me. Some days can feel like every mirror shows you’re not good enough, every app tells you’re not interesting enough, and people in your life can make you feel not worthy enough. If you make music, it sometimes feels like every part of the industry is telling you you’re not talented enough.”

Inspired by artists such as Broods, Lorde and Tove Styrke, Nile says of her music: “I find my sound is heavily influenced by the Australasian and Scandinavian sound. I like to think of myself as a musical hybrid, blending the brooding pop sensibilities of the North with the bright, sizzling sounds of the South.”

Mila Nile is an independent artist who continues to impress with each new release. Overflowing with gorgeous pop melodies and lyrics that really connect, we highly recommend you add her to your playlist now.

‘Don’t Need Your Love’ is out now. You can download and stream here.
