MARSHES releases new single 'D.U.M.B'

Sydney singer-songwriter and DJ Marshes today returns with her third single ‘D.U.M.B.’ After an impressive DJ career, performing at Groovin’ The Moo, Field Day and supporting Hugh Jackman, late last year Marshes released her debut single ‘M.I.A.’, which was followed by ‘C.B.F.’ in March this year. Both tracks showcased Marshes’ remarkable talent to craft seriously good pop music. Addictive melodies, razor sharp, intelligent and wry lyrics, and a gloriously nuanced vocal performance that manages to imbue every word with both emotion and attitude as well as wrapping itself around your heart.

The release of ‘D.U.M.B.’ sees Marshes embracing her vulnerable side, with a softer electro ballad while still retaining her signature sound. “‘D.U.M.B.’ is when you lose your ability to articulate yourself around someone you have feelings for,” Marshes says of the track. “Often when you’re scared to say what’s on your mind, it either never seems to come out right or you end up trying to hide the truth by overcompensating and acting the opposite of what you feel.” It is a spellbindingly beautiful song that truly marks Marshes out as an artist growing supremely confident in her art. This is an artist every music lover should be getting behind right now.

‘D.U.M.B.’ by Marshes is out now via Ditto Music. You can download and stream now.
