MARSHES releases new single 'C.B.F.', performing at Women In Pop Presents March 20

Sydney singer, songwriter and DJ Marshes (real name Erin Marshall) today releases her new single ‘C.B.F.’ A laid-back electro jam with a swirly carousel vibe topped by Marshes’ unique, gorgeous husky vocals it is an impressive follow up to her debut single, last year’s ‘M.I.A.’ one of Women In Pop’s Top 50 tracks of 2019.

‘C.B.F.’s gentle, carefree beats are the perfect contrast to the spirited-yet-nonchalant lyrics which detail an relationship neither party is interested in being in. “Can’t Be Fucked is about wasting time with people you actually don’t really care about, but you keep doing it anyway because there’s no one else,” Marshes says.

To tie in with the release of ‘C.B.F.’ Marshes recently guested on the Women In Pop podcast where she discusses in the detail the creation of ‘C.B.F.’, her DJ-ing career and her upcoming performance at Women In Pop Presents. The podcast episode is also released today and you can listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Marshes will be performing at our very first live event, Women In Pop Presents, on March 20 at Gingers in Darlinghurst, alongside SAYAH and Sarah Wolfe. Tickets are on sale now here.

‘C.B.F.’ is out now through Ditto Music. You can listen now here

To keep up with all things Marshes you can follow her on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
