Rising Australian star Jem Cassar-Daley today releases her new single ‘Are We Too Bored To Be Sorry?', her fifth single of 2025.

Written by Cassar-Daley with Joel Quartermaine and Ed White, the song embraces a more country inflected indie sound that harkens back to her very first releases, marking a change of pace from her recent exploration of electronic pop.

‘Are We Too Bored To Be Sorry?’ again showcases Cassar-Daley brilliance at storytelling and her unique way of bringing an untraditional take on heartbreak and relationships. She is adept at exploring how slipping into the mundane and lethargy is often as painful as a dramatic, full blooded breakdown. ‘It’s hard to see this thing could change when the wheels, they turn so slow’

“I wrote this song with Joel Quartermaine and Ed White about the mundaneness of fighting back and forth,” Cassar-Daley says. “It talks about the predictable pattern you fall into with someone of arguing, making up and doing it all over again until you’re both not sorry anymore. You both know it’s toxic but can’t let go. This has been one of my favourite songs to perform with the band and one that I’ve been itching to release since it was written!”

Cassar-Daley has carved out an impressive music career in a short few years, winning multiple awards for her music including Best Pop and Song of the Year at the Queensland Music Awards for ‘King of Disappointment’ last year. This year has seen her career step up another notch after she was signed to major independent label Civilians, and in June she wrapped up her Kiss Me Like You’re Leaving Tour, which included a sold out show in Sydney.

A remarkable talent with an incredible voice and an innate songwriting genius, Cassar-Daly is fast becoming one of Australia’s greatest young artists and ‘Are We Too Bored To Be Sorry?’ is the latest triumph on her way to the top.
