Haywood releases new single 'Human To Fall Apart'

NZ born and Australian bred Haywood (full name Leah Haywood) today releases her new single ‘Human To Fall Apart’

Performed, written and produced entirely by Haywood, the track is a pop-rock gem that starts off with a gentle, atmospheric feel before the beat gathers speed and the song erupts into a powerful chorus. Lyrically the song confronts the concept that falling apart is a universal and necessary human experience and one that can produce great beauty, learning and growth. “There's beauty in the brain when it's breaking down / Beauty in the pain when it's bleeding out…it's only human to fall apart” she sings.

Haywood became one of the biggest stars in Australia in the early 2000s with hit singles ‘We Think It’s Love’ and ‘Takin’ Back What’s Mine’. In 2002 she moved to the US and was reborn as an in demand songwriter and producer as part of Dreamlab, a company she founded with her husband. She has since written and produced for some of the biggest names in pop, including Nicki Minaj, Blackpink, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and Katy Perry.

She released her first solo music in 20 years last year and now signed to Kygo’s Palm Tree Records she is sounding better than ever with an irresistible sheen and power to her music. More music is promised and this new era of Haywood is one of the most welcome returns to music in recent times.

‘Human To Fall Apart’ is out now via Palm Tree Records/Sony Music. You can download on iTunes and stream on Apple Music and Spotify.

To keep up with all things Haywood you can follow her on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
