Australian and New Zealand music rights management organisation APRA AMCOS will launch the 2026 edition of their EQUALIZE music workshops this weekend.

Held in all capital cities across Australia, EQUALIZE is open to all women and gender diverse* music creators and is a series of musical workshops run by established music professionals in association with SAE University College, QUT, Collarts, ANU, University of Tasmania and Women of Music Production (WOMP).

The first workshops will be this weekend, October 10, In Melbourne and Sydney, with further workshops scheduled for 17 October in Hobart, 24 October in Darwin and Adelaide and 31 October in Brisbane, Canberra and Perth.

The full day sessions will focus on songwriting and recording and will include guided songwriting exercises, small-group songwriting, a live demonstration of how a song idea can be turned into a demo and networking with other music creators.

Above all, APRA AMCOS believes that the EQUALIZE workshops should be an inclusive, safe and caring creative environment for all participants.
