We are thrilled to announce the Women In Pop podcast has officially arrived and our second episode is just days away!
Alice has a remarkable pop pedigree - her mother is Bananarama singer-songwriter Sara Dallin and her father is songwriter and dancer Bassey Walker - and is proving to be one of the brightest new talents to emerge from the UK's future R&B scene alongside some of the biggest female names in pop today such as Mabel, RAYE, Jorja Smith and Ray BLK. Since the release of her debut EP in 2014, Alice has released a string of consistently brilliant music and has continually evolved as an artist, with dance pop, EDM and R&B featuring in her discography.
In episode 2 of the Women In Pop podcast, Alice chats to Carly Wilford about her career, from the very beginnings through to her latest release. She also discusses growing up with a famous mum, the female musicians who inspire her, her thoughts on the gender equality debate in the music industry and her plans for the future. It is a really fun and enjoyable session and we know you will love it and Alice D!
Alice is currently putting the finishing touches to her new EP, recorded with producer Oscar Scheller, which will be released later this year. Stay tuned for more info!
Episode 2 of the Women In Pop podcast will be released on iTunes on 6am Monday 16 July (Australian time)/9pm Sunday 15 July (UK time). We will post the direct link on release day! You can listen to episode 1 with Jack River now by clicking here
