Lenka releases title track from her upcoming album 'Good Days', out 29 May

Australian singer-songwriter Lenka has released her new single ‘Good Days’, the second taste and title track of her upcoming new album, due for release on 29 May.

Written by Lenka and produced by Tony Buchen (The Preatures, Courtney Barnett, Troye Sivan), ‘Good Days’ is a gorgeously infectious, bright and happy pop song that practically compels you to smile and swing along with its beat. It is an antidote to the troubles that swirl around us all in what feels like particularly dark times and promises ‘good days’ are around the corner. ‘Do you ever feel the winds of change are coming around? / Even though you’ve been fighting for some common ground…Something sweet is coming, it’s only fair,’ she sings.

“This song is a spell and a wish I am putting out into the world,” Lenka says. “It is the soundtrack to the life I want for myself and us all. We all deserve some good days please. I extended the name to the album title to give more potency to the magic that I truly hope will work.”

Recorded in Sydney with Buchen, Good Days will feature ten tracks and is Lenka’s first album since 2023’s Intraspectral. Featuring a range of inspirations from 1960s French chanteuses and Serge Gainsbourg to beatnik poetry, it is both musings on being a mid-life woman in a perplexing world and a message of hope and love , connecting with the human spirit in the universal belief that better days are coming.

To celebrate the release of Good Days, Lenka will play a special full band show in her hometown of Sydney on 25 June at The Vanguard in Newtown. Tickets are on sale now here

With a career that spans two decades, Lenka started in the band Decoder Ring before launching her successful solo career. She has achieved major global success, with her songs appearing in high profile films including Moneyball, Easy A, and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, commercials for Microsoft, Coca Cola and Disney, and in 2012 Billy Crystal performed her song ‘The Show’ at the Academy Awards, with the track now approaching 80 million streams on Spotify alone.
