Jorja Smith returns with new single 'Price Of It All'

British sensation Jorja Smith today releases her new single ‘Price Of It All’ which will feature in the upcoming comedy series Bait, created by and starring Riz Ahmed as Shah Latif.

Written with Charlie J Perry and Michael Stafford, ‘Price Of It All’ is a sweeping, orchestral, cinematic ballad that has a haunting, intimate opener before swelling into a dramatic, string laden beauty. Sitting at the centre of Bait’s musical landscape, it reflects the heightened emotional stakes surrounding Shah’s pursuit of success and validation: ‘If giving you my all means I die / Then that's just the price of it all,” Smith sings.

Also released today is a remix of ‘Price Of It All’ by Amir Amor which turns the ballad into a thumping drum and bass song that is just as dramatic and mesmerising as the original version.

‘Price Of It All’ arrives in a landmark year for Smith, with 2026 marking 10 years since the release of her debut single ‘Blue Lights’, which charted in the top 40 of the UK Singles chart, was certified Gold in Australia and has accumulated almost 290 million streams on Spotify alone. Smith will celebrate the anniversary with a series of special releases this year, reflecting on her career to date, with a remix of ‘Blue Lights’ arriving earlier this month.

In the past decade, Smith has become one of the most successful and acclaimed young artists in the UK. Her two albums Lost & Found (2018) and Falling or Flying (2023) both peaked at number 3 in the UK, she has won two Brit Awards and in 2019 was nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy.

An artist adept at everything from R&B to electronic pop through to big ballads, Smith is one of this generation’s great artists. She kicked off the next decade of her career earlier this year with the heartfelt single ‘Don’t Leave’, and now ‘Price Of It All’ continues her remarkable journey.
