Alexandria releases new single 'Knight of Swords'

Rising alt-pop star Alexandria has released her new single ‘Knight of Swords’.

In harmony with her previous releases, ‘Knight of Swords’ follows a tarot card theme, introducing the very first Minor Arcana tarot card to her music. Written by Alexandria and produced by Grammy nominated Kevin White, ‘Knight of Swords’ is a compelling, fantasy drenched soundscape with hints of medieval-folk via its use of harpsichord throughout the song. Dreamy melodies and Alexandria’s vocal add to the charm.

Lyrically the song explores the concept of the brave knight who launches into battle to save those who need saving - ‘He's just and brave, no fear of the grave’ - but also looks at the flip side of who will save the saviour: ‘Who does he turn to / When it all comes crashing down?…Icarus got too close to the sun.’

“I wrote a song for the hero who saves everyone but themselves,” Alexandria posted on Instagram.

‘Knight of Swords’ is the latest release for Alexandria over the past 12 months that has seen her emerge as one of Australia’s most outstanding new talents. Her 2025 collaboration with Marino, ‘Lust’, has over 67 million streams, while her recent solo singles ‘Always An Angel’ and ‘Fire and Ice’ currently have over 11 million and six million streams respectively.

Creating a whole world with her music, Alexandria’s dark-fantasy-alt-pop has already seen her signed by both Warner Records US and Warner Music Australia, setting the stage for her to become a truly global star.
