VIDEO PREMIERE: LT's new single 'Goddamn Right'

UK born, Cairns based independent singer-songwriter LT has been releasing music for over a decade, with her discography featuring everything from indie, country, folk to synth infused pop.
A four time Queensland Music Award winner, her music has appeared across multiple films and television shows, with her 2024 single ‘Real Life = No Fun’ recently appearing in the hit US series Grey’s Anatomy.
Earlier this month, LT released her new single ‘Goddamn Right’. An indie-pop-rock gem with the faintest hints of country and folk, the song is a cry to embrace life and fun at every opportunity - and to say yes to fun at every opportunity. ‘We’ll never shine if we stay home’, she sings.
“Sometimes you need a bad influence. After everything life throws at us, ‘Goddamn Right’ is a reminder to find the fun again,” LT says. “The dancer in this music video, Emily Zumstein, is the little voice on my shoulder, part naughty devil, part best friend, daring me to loosen up, break the rules, and say yes to the unexpected moments that turn into the best memories.”
“At the time we shot this visualiser, I was going through a particularly difficult time,” LT continues. “But the moment I stepped onto set, everything else disappeared for a little while. The worry, the noise, the heaviness, it all melted away. That's the power of music, art, and dance. They don't just entertain us; they give us somewhere to breathe, to escape, and sometimes, to heal. That's important.”
‘Goddamn Right’ will feature on LT’s debut album If My Heart Had A Voice which will be released on 9 October. Born from a period of personal challenges, the album is a collection of deeply personal songs of resilience and hope.
