Vera Blue releases new single 'All The Pretty Girls'
Australian singer-songwriter Vera Blue, aka Celia Pavey, has today released a brand new single ‘All The Pretty Girls’. Following on from her 2017 top 10 album Perennial which has seen over 100 million streams on Spotify, the single is her first new music in over a year.
Written in Los Angeles in July with Chelsea Lena (Kacy Hill, Sabrina Carpenter) and Steve Solomon (Christina Perry, James Arthur), the song sees a change of pace for Pavey from the heartbreak of Perennial to a breezy, laid back, summery, carefree vibe packed full of gorgeous melodies, all ruled over by her outstanding, ethereal vocals. “It’s basically just a little playful song that is also empowering. I feel really excited about it and I just can't wait to play it live,” Pavey says. “I feel like a lot of people can probably connect to it because it's kind of a self-protection song.”
The single is accompanied by the release of the live album, Lady Powers Live At The Forum, a 16-track recording taken from her sold out Lady Powers Live show at The Forum in Melbourne on June 2nd. Along with the live album, 16 live videos from the show will be released weekly with the first video being “Magazine (Lady Powers Live At The Forum)”.
