Rising R&B superstar Pania returns today with her new single ‘Heaven Can Wait’, the opening act in her new era which will cumulate in the release of her new EP Miss Romantic next year.

A gloriously smooth, warm pop-soul-R&B song with a heavy splash of the 1990s R&B sound, Pania sings of being in a relationship that suddenly feels like it could become a very long term commitment: ‘So get on one knee / My finger’s needing that wedding ring’ Pania sings.

“‘Heaven Can Wait’ is a song for my future husband,” Pania says. “ It’s about the feeling I know I will have when I meet my soulmate, the kind of love where nothing else matters bc being 2getha feels like heaven already”

‘Heaven Can Wait’ is the first taste of her upcoming EP Miss Romantic, due for release in February. The EP comes from a side of Pania that has always been there, but has rarely been expressed in her music - sentimental, hopeful, vulnerable, yearning and of course deeply romantic. Across six songs, Pania builds an intimate world that is like opening the pages of her diary. The EP will also features a collaboration with New Zealand music heavyweight, Aaradhna.

Pania has been one of Australian music’s breakout stars of the 2020s. Across her three EPs - burnt ur clothes & changed the addy (2022), WE STILL YOUNG (2023) and Coming 2 Terms (2025) - she has earned three consecutive ARIA Award nominations for Best Soul/R&B Release, and last year she won the award for Most Performed R&B Work at the APRA Music Awards for her single ‘Pity Party’. Globally, Pania has achieved over 6 million streams.

Pania is a remarkable artist with expansive soundscapes that never restrict her to one specific genre and her music is always a powerful, immersive experience. Her upcoming Miss Romantic era will showcase her as a truly outstanding artist and indeed one of Australia’s greatest young stars.
