Paige releases new single 'Loyalty'

New Zealand up and coming star Paige has released her new single ‘Loyalty’, the third single release from her upcoming project that is due to be released next year.

Taking fans to the ‘darker side’ of her project, ‘Loyalty’ is a moody pop track with hints of R&B and a shuffling electronic beat. In the lyrics Paige analyses her feelings and behaviour and sings about falling victim to impatience and temptation and pleading with herself to show more honesty and loyalty. “I gotta learn a thing about loyalty / It’s ruining this heart of mine,” she sings.

Paige has been releasing music since 2017 but it is in the last two years that she has really come into her own. Her 2020 debut EP Always Growing resulted in her being awarded Best Māori Solo Artist award at the Waiata Māori Music Awards and also earned her two nominations at the 2021 Aotearoa Music Awards. Along the way she has attracted high profile fans including Lizzo, Billie Eilish and Ruby Rose.

Paige’s music is a lush and gorgeous style of pop music that blends traditional pop with indie, R&B and soul and is incredibly warm, relatable and immersive. It is the kind of music that makes you feel Paige is singing directly for you and it is easy to understand why her star is continuing to soar.

Paige’s upcoming 2023 project is set to be a release to get very excited about next year, but until then tune into ‘Loyalty’ now and find out exactly why Paige is likely to be your new favourite pop star.

‘Loyalty’ is out now via Sony Music. You can download and stream here.
