Jessie Murph returns with new single 'Wild Ones'
One of the US’s top young new talents Jessie Murph today releases her new single ‘Wild Ones’, which sees her team up with rising country star Jelly Roll.
Produced and co-written Murph, Jelly Roll, Jeff Gitty (The Weeknd, Victoria Monet, Florida Georgia Line) and ALDAE (Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber), ‘Wild Ones’ is a jittering, electronic-country track, with Murph’s vocal expertly walking the line between rap, traditional country, dirty pop and sassy disdain.
First teased by Murph in June, she has recently been performing the song in her live shows, while the official TikTok sound has been viewed over 230 million times.
“I have been so excited to drop ‘Wild Ones’ ever since I wrote it earlier this year,” Murph says, “It has been incredible to play live on tour and see the fan reaction already even though it’s just now being released! It is one of my favorite songs yet and getting to work with Jelly Roll made it that much better.”
Despite only officially releasing music in 2021, Murph has rapidly become one of music’s biggest young stars, with her music regularly achieving streams in the tens of millions. She released her debut album drowning earlier this year, which was a collection of raw, introspective, candid songs with a discrete electronic foundation. Her subsequent singles this year have moved her sound into bigger soundscapes, with a distinct lean towards to a country inflected sound which is melded with electronic pop and hip-hop to create a unique, distinctly Jessie Murph sound.
