Renowned British singer-songwriter Emelie Sandé launches her 2022 with the release of her new single and music video ‘Brighter Days’. A rousing, gospel R&B track with a underlying, subtle dance beat all held together perfectly by Sandé’s always incredible, impassioned vocal, the single continues the new era in her music kicked off last year with ‘Look What You’ve Done’ and ‘Family’, her first new music in two years.

“‘Brighter Days’ is inspired by the truth that even in the darkest moments, there is always hope,” Sandé says. “We might have to dig deeper to feel it, but hope is always there. Staying anchored in hope and faith is our victory and defeat only comes when we lose sight of this power. ‘Brighter Days’ is an affirmation - it's a reminder of our collective power to make a choice and create our reality.”

“The power of the collective mind is remarkable, and I believe that no matter the external circumstances forced upon us, we have dominion over the mind and spirit. Brighter days are coming. Stepping out of the darkness is within our control. Fear is not ours, pessimism does not belong to us, defeat is not our choice. We choose brighter days and this song is the voice of hope, faith and love.”

The single comes ahead of Sandé’s appearance on The Graham Norton Show in the UK this Friday, which is due to air in Australia on Friday, 28 January on Network Ten at 7.30pm.

More music from Sandé is promised in 2022, and with this new era “an ode to resilience, rebirth, and renewal” it is set to be one of her best yet.

‘Brighter Days’ is out now via Chrysalis Records. You can download and stream here.
