Rising Australian new talent bella amor today releases her new single ‘heart attack’. It is her third single and follows on from ‘all my friends are high’ released at the beginning of November.

Written by amor and produced by Xavier Dunn and Tom Eggert, ‘heart attack’ is a gorgeous track with a gentle soundscape and leans further into pop territory than the indie-pop of her first two releases. amor’s vocals are angelic and emotive as she sings about having her heart broken, yet still letting that person back into her life, hoping it will be different this time around.

“I wrote this song when I was heartbroken,” amor says. “I didn't intend on this song being sad but it's clear my subconscious had other plans....now I listen to it I can hear how much of a bad place I was in. It came about because, as naive as I was, I thought I'd found the love of my life. We always talked about a future together and that we were going to get married. But then he split, and it really, really upset me (the first time) so I wrote this. It's about having someone come back into your life, thinking it's going to be different. This is a different and more vulnerable side to me and I hope you guys enjoy it here inside my heart.”

Also out today is the music video for ‘heart attack’, directed by Josh Mol and Oliver Kirby and filmed in the Gold Coast hinterland.

With just three singles under her belt, bella amor has already showcased just what a talented artist she is with not just versatility and range in her sound, but also in her lyrical prowess which ranges from dry wit to deep, emotional story telling. One of Australia’s most promising young artists, bella amor has the potential to be a major star and she should be on your playlist right now. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with in 2023.

‘heart attack’ is out now via Sony Music Australia. You can buy and stream here.
