Aurora returns with captivating single 'Cure For Me'

One of Norway’s most talented and exceptional artists AURORA has returned with the new single ‘Cure For Me’.

Her first new music of 2021, the track is a beguiling pop song which riffs on electro, synth and dashes of techno and is arguably the first time Aurora has moved her music into full-blooded, late night dancefloor ready pop. It is a glorious transition which augurs well for this next era of AURORA.

Written in Australia, the song is about breaking free of shame. “Sometimes I feel like the whole world Is trying to convince you something is wrong with you,” AURORA says. “And sadly often people believe this to be true. It is very scary how easy it is for someone to convince you that you are wrong. Or that you are overly emotional, too strange, and not good enough. And I think it’s about time we shut those voices out. Because in no way should anyone convince you that you are not worthy because of the way you look, or act, believe in or love. We should be allowed to be human. And we don’t need a cure for it.”

Aurora has been releasing music since 2013 when she was just 17 and earlier this year her 2015 single ‘Runaway’ - which she wrote when she was just 12 - went viral on TikTok and took on a second life, picking up streams and downloads and becoming a top 40 hit on charts around the world. Now with an even bigger worldwide fanbase and support from artists such Doja Cat, Katy Perry and Troye Sivan, AURORA’s special musical powers seem more potent than ever and her upcoming third album The Gods We Can Touch promises to be one of this year’s highlights.

‘Cure For Me’ is out now. You can download and stream here.
